"Not only is type 2 diabetes completely preventable, but it is virtually curable for anyone who is willing to put in the hard time and work..."
- Dr Joseph Mercola

It's clear that we are in the midst of a diabetes epidemic. Nearly 20 million people in the US have type 2 diabetes and another 45 million have pre-diabetes. More than 50% are not even aware that they have this disease that can rob them of some of the most enjoyable years of their life.

About Simply Raw

Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with diabetes (one with Type 1) who switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, uncooked food in order to reverse disease without pharmaceutical medication.

These stories and resources can help you permanently remove the devastating consequences of diabetes. Please understand that these are simple inexpensive lifestyle adjustments that do not require costly medications. You will also see that David Wolfe, who featured in Food Matters, also appears in the film.

What the film covers:

  • The basics to reversing Diabetes
  • The benefits of eating organic raw foods for your body and mind
  • How to get off insulin using this type of diet
  • The science behind raw food nutrition from some of the Nation's leading doctors

Simply Raw reveals, with startling clarity, that diet can reverse diabetes and change the quality of people’s lives. The film captures the human drama and struggle of these courageous individuals making a quantum leap of faith from a traditional junk food diet to a raw vegan diet and it shows revealing moments of nurturing, compassion, and human spirit.

Additional wisdom is provided throughout the film by Morgan Spurlock, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Robbins, Rev. Michael Beckwith, and Doctors Fred Bisci, Joel Furman, and Gabriel Cousens.

"I found myself nodding my head, laughing out loud, exclaiming 'YES', 'WOW' and so on countless times throughout the film. It is SO gratifying and exciting to see six people who have all been told that they will be 'on their medication for life' not only COME OFF all allopathic meds, but also lose weight, shift through emotional stumbling blocks, get more physically active and start SHINING with healthy skin and eyes...in just 30 days..."- Angela Stokes

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

  • "Understanding the power of raw foods changed my whole relationship with food. I don't look at food as entertainment any longer. It is a fuel for my body, and I decide what grade of fuel I will run on. The video scientifically supported my belief in the power of raw foods." -Allison Mason
  • "I was absolutely astounded by the change in health and attitude after watching Simply Raw. Disease reversal, weight loss, energy, enthusiasm for life - what other nutritional plan can claim such terrific results? I also liked the fact that your film followed up with some of the participants after the ranch experience so I could get an idea of how hard it may be to maintain a raw diet outside of a controlled environment. Great job!" -Marty Fletcher
  • "I believe this to be more important than any current information available on getting health back from and avoiding getting diabetes, stage 1 & 2. People need to have reflection from a respected, qualified M.D. such as Dr. Gabriel Cousens who understands the complimentary medicine of natural law.
This film gives a true understanding of the discipline and courage needed for a person to succeed."-Dean Martens, Clinical Herbalist
  • "I found myself nodding my head, laughing out loud, exclaiming 'YES', 'WOW' and so on countless times throughout the film. It is SO gratifying and exciting to see six people who have all been told that they will be 'on their medication for life' not only COME OFF all allopathic meds, but also lose weight, shift through emotional stumbling blocks, get more physically active and start SHINING with healthy skin and eyes...in just 30 days..."-Angela Stokes

if they would have told the people that just eating raw fruits and vegies would cure cancer and diabeties dont you think that the FDA and the drug administration and all of the candy and snakck and junk food etc. would be out of buisness. they dont want
that to happen oh no they like money. so teach yourself and teach others hopefully get the messege out there.

I love the dvd. I was diagnosed with type 1 while serving in the army,(ARMY RANGER). It's been seven years, and I can tell you that the insulin will keep you in the same place today that you were yesterday. It will never make us better. Now that I understand
the symptoms and can feel when my blood sugar is low or high I'm almost positive that my pancreas began to die off as soon as I went to basic training and started consuming the military rations. My unit was obsessed with exercise, and I used to run 25 to 40
miles a week on average plus about ten hours a week in the gym, plus combat focused physical training. My body was in great condition and so was my mind. Any ideas on what could have caused me to become sick? I think it was all the animal proteins and carbs.
Please people it does us no good to argue, we know the old way is not working for anyone but big pharma so we need to unify and work together. Thanks food matters team, and Dr. Max Gerson.

I haven't seen the film yet but I'm very interested in watching it. I have an uncle with diabetes and I think he will be delighted to see it after all the good things I read about it.

I am an identical twin. We both got diagnosed with prediabetes at the same time. I researched and made changes to my diet, always have been a vegetarian. Sis continued eating as she had. I now have NO sign of diabetes, and she's on 2 or more medications.
This is true, it's all about the food.

Some people just don't get it. The pharmaceutical industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. When we have an "ill" we take a "pill". That's what it's all about. Talk about making money.... there would be a lot of people out of jobs in the industry if
more people turned to natural healing. Just because the medical community "says" there is "no cure" doesn't mean that it's true. If one looks at the amount of poisons and toxins that we ingest through our processed food and through all the chemical medicines
that we take, it's easy for me to see what we are doing to ourselves. I've fully investigated the healing process our bodies go through when we quit smoking. It's quite miraculous. So why do people assume the same thing CAN NOT happen for other ailments? Our
bodies have the power to heal if given the right fuel. I have just been diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2 at the age of 49. I am overweight and I used to smoke. I quit 6 months ago. I am VERY EXCITED to learn more about this process of reversing Diabetes. I totally
believe it can be done. But the proof is in trying it, isn't it? I shall report back here after my 30 days (still waiting for the DVD to arrive) and let you know how it is all going for me. Bottom line: Don't knock it until you try it.

Please if everyone goes to the top of the page you will see that they are referring to type 2 diabetes as being curable. Type 2 is adult onset diabetes caused by obesity and old age. They are not proposing to cure type 1 diabetes which is when ones pancreas
ceases to function. Type 1 or Juvenile diabetes usually occurs before one reaches their 20s Type 2 is when a persons pancreas is overtaxed and cannot process the amount of sugars in an oversized or partially functioning body. Thus diet has always been the
cure in this instance. RE the cost of this information...How much does it cost you to take a trip to your MD? Probably more than they are charging for a video. So take charge of your life. If you can get off your meds then how much are you saving in the long
run?

I think Anonymous has drank the big Pharma kool-aid. As Andrew Saul said, "If you always do what you always did you'll always get what you always got." If nothing else Anonymous, take a chance your child may be able to live a drug free life and have less
pain, no amputations. What do you have to lose?

Let's just clarify here - there is a huge difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Insulin is an essential hormone necessary for your cells to uptake glucose for metabolic purposes. I truly don't understand how diet alone could cure diabetes in a type 1 diabetic. My son has type 1 and I can tell you that the NIH has invested millions in finding a cure through stemcell research, islet transplants, etc. If it were really this easy, don't you think we would have figured it out already? I can see how diet can help with diabetes control and regulating blood sugar levels but lets be careful with the words we use. There is no cure for type 1, yet.

If this diet truly does have a positive impact on diabetes, I cannot believe that this website is charging people money to access this 'revolutionary' information. Give it away for free. Help more people.

I suppose we're paying for the 'additional wisdom' of people like Morgan Spurlock. The man who ate junk food and was suprised that he didn't feel too well. How brilliantly insightful.

ED: Hi there - I completely understand your frustration - I know it feels like everyone is just out to make money. Although we would love to give this DVD away for free, our purchasing costs to make it available in the first place make it impossible to do so. We also incur many other costs which we have no way of meeting if we do not charge something for the DVDs and information we provide. Hope you can understand. Jess @ Food Matters.

I believe the Anonymous post was done by someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. I saw my mother on many medications for many years and never get better- just get by. She changed her diet to a nutritarian and now is on no medications, lost over 50 lbs and exercises daily. She did cure her diabetes and many other issues she had. Maybe you just need to invest in reading more and being responsible for everything that goes into your body.

Sure you can control diabetes and have good blood sugars but that does not mean that you've cured diabetes. Currently there isn't a cure and products like this are harmful because they give people false hope for the sake of a buck. Do yourself a favor and save your money and invest time in learning how to treat and manage diabetes for good blood sugar control.

This film has changed my life. Raw food is what our bodies evolved to accept as a food source so it makes sense that all the factory-type processed foods would do our body wrong. After a few months of following this helpful advice, I can say that my life has taken a turn for the best. I'm happier, healthier, and better looking than when I first watched this film. I recommend this for everyone.
